Health Benefits of Beets

One of the ingredients in our juice fasting is beets my husband had told me that they are highly nutritious and good source of iron and has been shown to be an immunity booster and guard against cancer. According to what I have read the certain unique pigment antioxidants present in this plant have found to offer protection against coronary artery disease and stroke, lower cholesterol levels in the body and have anti-aging effects.

If you don’t know yet one cup of raw beets is high in carbohydrates and low in fat. It contains phosphorus, sodium, magnesium, calcium, iron, and potassium, as well as fiber, vitamins A and C, niacin, and biotin. Beets contain folic acid, which is recommended for pregnant women because it may lower the risk of spina bifida and other neural tube defects in newborn infants.


So we make a juice from beets, carrots and ginger it tasted good, sweet and strong. Just be aware that your bowel will have a red color when you eat beets or drink beets juice.
